You can now visit and enjoy Provence in one day! Along with several professionals we can offer you the best of Provence, mixing authenticity and tradition.
During this one day guided tour, you will have the opportunity to visit one of the most oldest Marseille soap factories of Provence. It is one of the last four manufacturers of Marseille soap still using the original process of saponification in cauldrons using vegetable oil. Established in 1900, the same family still run sit today guaranteeing a unique know-how, boasting a proud family tradition.
Afterwards you will visit a domain which possesses more than 180 hectares of vineyards and 40 hectares of olive trees, to sample their exceptional wines and celebrated olive oil.
You will discover the family trade secrets, from the harvesting of the almonds through all the stages of production. The museum will plunge you into the history of this sweetness and will reveal you the recipe immortalized by four generations of passionate confectioners.
The lunch will take place within a privileged setting in a restaurant of matchless reputation. Indeed, the menu abounds in delicious and elaborate dishes freshly prepared by a chef who allies Provençal tradition and simplicity.
You will savour them on a shaded terrace and will have a magnificent view of the park and its hundred-year-oldtrees.
To end with a flourish, you will have the opportunity to visit a factory of Calissons of renowned Aix, a candy adored by all which nowadays is the gastronomic emblem of the city of Aix-en-Provence for 500 years.
You will have (also optional) the possibility of making your own traditional calissons during a workshop lasting 2 hours, which you can keep (contact us for details).
On this occasion, you will also discover the city centre of Aix and its charming alleys and squares not forgetting the fountains, for which the city is famous.
