The Stunning Landscapes of Côtes de Provence
The Côtes de Provence wine region is a land of sun-drenched hills, rocky limestone cliffs, and rolling vineyards stretching between the Mediterranean coast and the Provençal hinterland. This spectacular landscape is shaped by a warm, dry Mediterranean climate, with cooling maritime breezes and the famous Mistral wind, which helps keep the vines healthy.
The diverse soils—ranging from limestone and schist to red clay and sandy gravel—create an array of terroirs that influence the style and complexity of the wines. Here, welcoming wineries and passionate winemakers craft some of the world’s most refined Rosés, as well as elegant Reds and Whites. Discover this extraordinary region while savoring a glass of authentic Côtes de Provence Rosé.

The Unique Wines of AOP Côtes de Provence
The AOP Côtes de Provence is the largest and most prestigious appellation in Provence, encompassing nearly 20,000 hectares of vineyards across varied landscapes—from coastal plains to the foothills of the Sainte-Victoire and Maures mountains. This geological diversity gives the wines their distinctive character.
The region’s red wines, made from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Carignan, are aromatic and structured, with flavors evolving beautifully over time. The Rosés, which represent nearly 90% of the appellation’s production, are crafted using a delicate maceration and blending process, resulting in elegant, fresh, and mineral-driven wines, with notes of citrus, red berries, and aromatic herbs from the surrounding garrigue.
For white wines, grape varieties such as Rolle, Clairette, Sémillon, and Ugni Blanc produce crisp, well-balanced wines with floral and citrus aromas.

Provence in the South of France is considered as the most beautiful place in France, and it stretches all the way from Arles and Avignon to Monaco, anchored by the Mediterranean sea. The region’s natural beauty, its warm climate, picturesque Medieval villages, traditional open markets, colors, aromas, olive oil, sun flowers, lavender fields and of course its wines make Provence an irresistible destination to both the French and to visitors.
What gives Provence its distinctive character and unique wines is, among other things, its particularly diverse landscape swept by the Mistral wind and its warm dry and sunny weather. Provence is more and more popular and recognized for its wines, especially about its rosé wines (some of the World’s best rosés) but it also produces some remarkable strong and full-bodied red wines which can age several years in barrels, as well as tender delicate and airy whites.
